Guidance on COVID-19 (coronavirus) from Provincial Health Officer for health care workers

Registered Audiologists (RAUDs), Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioners (RHIPs), and Registered Speech-Language Pathologists (RSLPs) are advised to read two important letters from BC’s Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, providing guidance to health care workers on COVID-19 (coronavirus).

The letters address:

  • Self-isolation advice for health care workers, including those who have travelled outside of Canada.
  • How patients, physicians, health care workers, and the public can make inquiries if they have questions about COVID-19.
  • Cleaning practices in offices.

Please read both letters from Dr. Henry:

BC Centre For Disease Control information for health care professionals

An important resource for BC health care professionals is the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) website, which offers specific guidance to health professionals on COVID-19 that is updated on an ongoing basis. Infection control, clinical care, and other topics related to COVID-19 are covered on the website. See the BCCDC COVID-19 Care page for health care professionals.
