A major set of amendments to the CSHBC Bylaws went in force December 7, 2022.
The Health Professions and Occupations Act, which will replace the Health Professions Act as the governing legislation for health regulatory colleges in BC, has received Royal Assent and is now law in British Columbia.
On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, 11 BC health profession regulatory colleges — including CSHBC — took part in a ceremony marking the launch of the Standard of Practice for Indigenous Cultural Safety, Cultural Humility, & Anti-Racism that the colleges have adopted.
CSHBC will increase certain fees for applicants and registrants and introduce new fees for registrants with multiple registrations. As set by the BC Ministry of Health, the adjusted fees are effective December 7, 2022.
CSHBC has compiled questions about the College’s increased and new fees and provided detailed answers for registrants and applicants.
The BC Government has introduced new legislation to replace the Health Professions Act. On October 19, 2022, Health Minister Adrian Dix tabled the replacement legislation: the Health Professions and Occupations Act.
Applicants to become RHIPs taking the ILE Written Exam may request domain-level performance results from a previous attempt at the exam. IHS, the organization that administers the exam, will provide results directly to candidates upon request.
International Allied Health Professions Day takes places October 14, 2022. CSHBC joins in recognizing and celebrating allied health professionals in BC, including RAUDs, RHIPs, and RSLPs.
