CSHBC has issued a response to a Times Colonist editorial on Over-the-Counter (OTC) hearing aid legislation in the U.S.

Voting for the 2022 College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia Board election will not be required and official results have been confirmed.

After delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, CSHBC is laying the groundwork for conducting Practice Reviews with RSLPs. The College is also working toward conducting additional Practice Reviews with RHIPs and including RAUDs in the Practice Review process.

In the previous reporting cycle, the vast majority of CSHBC registrants met requirements for Practice Hours and CCCs. Exceptions were issued to a small number of registrants for Practice Hours, and some who were unable to meet requirements submitted Practice Hours and CCCs deficiency plans.

CSHBC is now accepting nominations for RAUDS, RHIPS, and RSLPs to run in the upcoming CSHBC Board election to be held in August 2022. Nominations close July 15, 2022.

The Provincial Health Officer (PHO) has updated an order on COVID-19 vaccination status of BC health professionals. The amended order requires vaccination status collection by BC health regulatory colleges to be an ongoing requirement.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has released aggregate data on the COVID-19 vaccination status of regulated health professionals in BC, including RAUDs, RHIPs, and RSLPs.
