The CSHBC Registration Committee has approved the Praxis Exams for audiology and speech-language pathology as entry-to-practice exams. The College’s Examination Advisory Committee and CSHBC Board also recommended approval of the Praxis Exams.

BC Government Steering Committee releases recommendations for modernizing health regulation in BC
On August 27, 2020, the Steering Committee on Modernization of Health Professional Regulation released recommendations for broad changes to the province’s health profession regulatory system.
The BC Court of Appeal – British Columbia’s highest court – has ruled that Pashta MaryMoon cannot use the title “death midwife” to describe her services. The decision is significant for health care regulation in BC, as it affirms the enforceability of section 12.1(1) of the Health Professions Act.
Some CSHBC registrants have not yet paid the final installment plan payment towards their registration fees for the 2020/2021 registration year. These registrants must make the final installment plan payment before the deadline of midnight on August 31, 2020.
