Bylaws & Legislation

CSHBC Bylaws

Under section 19 of the Health Professions Act, the CSHBC Board creates and amends the College’s Bylaws. CSHBC Bylaws outline rules for: governance and administration of the College; registration and certification of practitioners in the three professions regulated by the College; and standards, complaints, and discipline. The Bylaws also contain a Schedule of Fees and a list of education programs that are recognized by CSHBC.

The most comprehensive set of amendments to CSHBC Bylaws since the College’s inception in 2009 are in force, effective June 14, 2021. See the CSHBC Bylaws.

Bylaw amendments

Notice of Bylaw amendments is distributed to BC health profession regulatory colleges and posted on the CSHBC website to ensure that the public and other interested stakeholders may view all proposed amendments in a timely and transparent manner and provide feedback. In consultation with the Ministry of Health, the Board must approve all Bylaw amendments. See the Notice of Bylaw Amendments page.
