Gregory Mistal is a former registrant of the College in the professions of audiology and hearing instrument dispensing. Gregory Mistal did not renew his registrations by their expiry date of March 31, 2022 and therefore his registrations were canceled effective April 1, 2022.
Subsequently, it came to the College’s attention that Gregory Mistal was engaging in unlawful use of a reserved title on social media – specifically, he was presenting himself as an audiologist and hearing instrument practitioner on Meta/Facebook and on LinkedIn. The College delivered a cease and desist demand to Gregory Mistal on March 28, 2023. He has complied with this demand, with the exception of his use of a reserved title on his Facebook/Meta profile, which he reports he is unable to access or delete.
Given the above situation, Gregory Mistal has consented to the publication of this notice to advise and confirm to the public that he is not a current registrant of the College and is therefore not permitted to practise audiology or hearing instrument dispensing in British Columbia.
