Effective April 2, 2024, as a condition of certification renewal, by March 31 of the year a valid Certified Practice (CP) certificate is set to expire, registrants who wish to renew their certification must obtain and report 20 practice hours relevant to the services authorized by the relevant CP certificate.

CSHBC and six other health profession regulatory colleges will amalgamate in three months on June 28, 2024. As such, CSHBC is providing an update for registrants about amalgamation. The update includes questions and answers about amalgamation.

Registrants who have not renewed their registration for 2024/2025 and wish to maintain their Full, Conditional, and/or Non-practising registration, are reminded that the registration renewal deadline is March 31, 2024. Registrants who wish to maintain their professional status and licenses to practise as RAUDs, RHIPs, or RSLPs in BC must renew their registration(s) in the CSHBC Registrant Portal by March 31, 2024. In addition, registrants with certification(s) (Certified Practice certificates) expiring on March 31, 2024, must renew these certificates in the Registrant Portal by that deadline.

Registration renewal for the registration year from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, will open in late January 2024. Renewal for Certified Practice (CP) certificates expiring March 31, 2024, will also open in late January. The deadline for renewing registration for 2024/2025 and expiring CP certificates is March 31, 2024.

CSHBC reminds registrants and applicants who participate in the College’s Hearing Instrument Dispensing Practical Examination (HID Practical Exam) to uphold their professional and ethical duty to maintain confidentiality of CSHBC examination contents.

CSHBC has created a Standards & Legislation section on the College’s website to enable registrants, applicants, and others to more easily locate information on regulatory requirements for RAUDs, RHIPs, and RSLPs.
