Supervising Conditional registrants: understanding the specific supervision requirements for RHIP (Conditional), RAUD (Conditional), & RSLP (Conditional) registrants

The supervision requirements for Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioners (Conditional) registrants are more prescriptive than the supervision requirements for Registered Audiologists (Conditional) and Registered Speech-Language Pathologists (Conditional). Conditional registrants and their supervisors must ensure they are fully familiar with the specific supervision requirements for their professions.

CSHBC requests registrant feedback on CSHBC’s new standard for Indigenous Cultural Safety, Cultural Humility, & Anti-Racism

CSHBC is requesting registrants to participate in an online survey about Indigenous-specific topics and your current cultural safety, cultural humility, and anti-racism practices. The survey results will provide the College with information on how to provide additional support for registrants on incorporating the CSHBC Indigenous Cultural Safety, Cultural Humility, & Anti-Racism Standard of Practice.

Registration and certification renewal has opened in the Registrant Portal; renewal deadline of March 31, 2023

Registration renewal for the 2023/2024 registration year has opened. Registrants who wish to maintain their professional status and licenses to practice as RAUDs, RHIPs, or RSLPs in BC must renew their registration by March 31, 2023. In addition, registrants with Certified Practice certificates expiring on March 31, 2023, must renew these certificates by that deadline.

Amended practice hours requirement: 250 hours for each additional registration within a cycle

In addition to the current reporting requirement of 750 practice hours for a primary profession, the amended practice hours requirement outlines that when a registrant is registered as a full registrant in more than one profession, the registrant must also, within the same three-year cycle, practice a minimum of 250 hours in each other profession the registrant is registered in.
