October 14, 2023, will be Allied Health Professionals Day, celebrated internationally to recognize the significant contributions of the allied health workforce around the world.
In BC, the allied health workforce consists of approximately 75,000 individuals in more than 70 disciplines, including Registered Audiologists (RAUDs), Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioners (RHIPs), Registered Speech-Language Pathologists (RSLPs), and other allied health professionals. Allied health professionals provide a range of preventative, diagnostic, technical, and therapeutic health services across the lifespan and care continuum.
